The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will once again offer Giving Machines to help people contribute to charity at the holidays.

President Doug Laws, of the Loveland Colorado Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his wife Lori and their daughter Sydney recently went to Denver to visit the Light the World Giving Machines.

“There were so many things to choose from,” Lori Laws said in the release. “After a big discussion, we chose to donate to two that focused on mental health, along with donating a couple of ducks. It is so ingenious and easy to use.”

Denver is one of 25 cities around the world where the bright, red machines are stationed. In Denver, donations given through the Giving Machines will benefit five local charities and three international charities, including Precious Child, Doctors Care, Habitat for Humanity Denver, Metro Caring, Village Exchange Center, iDE Global, Mentors International and Water for People.

One hundred percent of donations will be used to buy the items donors select. Administrative costs, including credit card fees and machine costs, etc., are covered by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Receipts will be available by text or email.

The four Denver Giving Machines are located at Writer Square at the corner of Larimer and 15th Street. The machines will operate around the clock, with volunteers there to assist between noon and 8 p.m. The machines will be open until New Year’s.
