A “GMA3: What You Need to Know” segment about filmmaker David Siev’s documentary about his hometown was originally scheduled to air Thursday, Jan. 12, during the program’s 1 p.m. broadcast.
There’s no word yet on if or when the segment might run. “GMA3” airs weekdays on ABC affiliate WJRT Channel 12 in Flint. WJRT’s ABC12 News First at Four will highlight the “GMA” appearance on Thursday’s episode.
A crew from”GMA3″ was in the small Huron County town recently to film a segment featuring Rachel’s of Bad Axe and members of the Siev family and David Siev’s critically acclaimed documentary.
“GMA3: What You Need to Know” is a spinoff of the longtime ABC morning news program “Good Morning America.” The show is described as “a news, health and lifestyle program that also highlights incredible human stories of personal triumph.”
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences recently announced Siev’s film was one of 15 named to the Best Documentary Feature Film “shortlist” for the 95th Academy Awards, scheduled for Sunday, March 12, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Nominations will be announced on Tuesday, Jan. 24.
