Virgin Islands Shakedown to Celebrate the Music of the Grateful Dead with Members of moe., The String Cheese Incident and More
Virgin Island Shakedown has announced its lineup for the destination concert event that will take place in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, this fall. The four-night event will run from Nov. 17 through 20 and include an all-star cast of artists celebrating the musical stylings of the Grateful Dead with collaborative sets and unforgettable musical experiences.
In a press release shared by the folks behind the upcoming event, they unveiled that Virgin Island Shakedown will feature four sets of music performed by The Dire Wolves, featuring Al Schnier and Vinnie Amico of moe., Jason Hann of The String Cheese Incident, Mark Joseph of The Big Wu, and Steve Molitz (Particle, Phil Lesh).
Moreover, the beach affair will also see songs played by Blue Star Radiation, featuring Rob Derhak and Vinnie Amico of moe., Tim Palmieri of Lotus, and Nate Wilson of Percy Hill. Special guests for the impending escape include Joel Cummins of Umphrey’s McGee, Hash of Thievery Corporation and Janis Walin of Family Groove Company.
Hotel packages for the destination event are available through The Fred, which offers a four-night resort stay for two, with admission to the Virgin Island Shakedown and more. Each room is situated steps away from the resort’s pool, beach and bar.
